The fields above and below Milk Hill have been host to an enormous amount of iconic and famous crop circles over the years. One of the fields on top of the hill was the location of the Milk Hill Galaxy Spiral formation of 2001 – one of the most famous crop circles of all time.

Yet several other interpretations are possible, including astronomical symbols for a solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, a “fidget spinner”, and some “flying orbs” which were seen during a UFO battle over Nuremberg, Germany in 1561.

On the day that the formation was created (Thursday, May 25), it was new moon. The cross refers to the four main phases of the moon. The sun and the moon also were in square to the lunar nodes. Hence, the formation also refers to a solar eclipse that occurs on new moon at one of the lunar nodes.
