A public record of every crop formation three archives published, folded into one entry per formation, dated, placed and traceable back to the page it came from.

A reported date is the date a formation was found and reported, not the date it was made.

Every photograph here belongs to the photographer credited beside it, and every diagram to the site that drew it. They are shown for non-commercial research and reference, attributed one picture at a time, each with a link to the page it was published on. Where a picture carries no credit of its own, the source site is named instead.

Articles and comments belong to the people who wrote them. They are quoted here in short attributed extract — at most 2 paragraphs and 900 characters — with a link to the page that published each one in full.

Nothing here is claimed as ours. Every photograph belongs to the photographer credited beside it and every diagram to the archive that drew it, shown for non-commercial research and reference with a link to the page each was published on.
